Additional information about the end of the semester

Cardiology Competition (15th of December): - after the lecture 45 min

Reasons to attend:

similar to exam tests
the first three rated students will have one mark better on the exam if not failed
the winners will receive valuable prizes

Practice exams (last week at everybody’s own tutor):

Reasons to attend:

to pass the practice exam is elementary to take part in written exam

Exam period (19th of December 2011 – 27th of January 2012):

first occasion: multiple choice test exam (Number of possible correct answers are given at each question.) 30 questions (20 correct answers are needed) + oral exam (1 topic)
second, third occasion(re-taken exam): practice exam+oral exam two topics must be answered the list of the topics is available at our website.

Extended exam period: (only for those who failed the exam) 30th of January 2012 – 3rd of February

Main rule: The final mark of the exam is an avarege of the practice and the written and the oral exam but none of them allowed to be failed.

to all Hungarian and English speaking students attending the graduate cardiology program in 2011/2012 Autumn Semester.

You are kindly invited to take part in our traditional „CARDIOLOGY DAY” which is going to be held on the 21st of November in Heart Center! This is an opportunity to meet the experts, to look inside the multi-face cardiology science.

Technical information:

Language of the day is English. All lectures and practices are going to run in English.

To take part of the day is not mandatory. Although everybody who takes part in 4 activities may have two missed practices cancelled! (Who takes part in two activities may have one missed practice cancelled.) The attandence going to be signed on an attandence sheet.
Preregistration is necessary to take part in any kind of activity. Please, find attached the Agenda where you can choose your lectures and seminars according to your interest. You can also see the actual state of registration in the Agenda.

For registration please send an email with your phone number to oktatas@kardio.sote.hu. In the e-mail nominate (title and time) maximally four activities (lecture or seminar) where you wish to attend.

Due to technical reasons, without preregistration to take part of any kind of activity is not possible! Thank you for your co-operation!

Information about the cardiology graduate education

Everybody is kindly invited to the lectures. To take part on practices is mandatory! (It is possible to miss two practises, but later these should be recovered!)
Suggested textbook:

Churchill’s pocketbook of cardiology. Grubb, NR-Newby, D.E. Edinburg 2006.

Students are strongly recommended to visit regularly our website where updated informations, most of the lectures are availabe!
Each weeks the groups will participate in a so called „bedside practice” or in a so called „common practice” (invasive cardiology, electrophysiology, non-invasive imaging, pediatric cardiology).

The location of practices may vary (external group 09, 01)
Pediatric cardiology practise will be at external location for each groups!

We accept a maximum of 13 students in each groups!

to pass the practice exam is elementary to take part in written exam

Exam period (19th December 2011 – 27th January 2012): Exam date & registration will be available in Neptun System

first time: multiple choice test exam (Number of possible correct answers are given at each question.) 30 questions – (60% needs to pass) + 1 verbal topic from exam topic list.
second, third time (re-taken exam): verbal exam – two topics must be answered (the practical exam must be re-taken as well in case of CV course)

Main rule: The exam result is an avarege of the practice and the written exam but none of them allowed to be failed.
